Youth With A Mission is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world.
Also known as YWAM (pronounced “WHY-wham”), YWAM is united in a common purpose to know God and to make Him known. Back when YWAM began in 1960, the main focus was to help youth get involved in missions. Today, the focus is still on youth but also includes people of all ages. There are currently tens of thousands of staff from nearly every country.
Discipleship Training Schools
Discipleship Training School (DTS) is a 5-month program designed for those who want a complete transformation of the Christian faith. The backbone of DTS is to help you dive deep into the heart of God and get trained to take part in the Great Commission. You’ll learn key components of your identity as a child of God such as learning to hear God’s voice, claiming and practicing gifts of the Holy Spirit, preaching the gospel, sharing your testimony, and creating self-multiplying discipleship movements.
Lecture Phase:
To Know God
In the lecture phase your focus will be on knowing God, His Word and His world. You will seek transformation, a renewed mind, and personal growth. You’ll learn not only from teachers but also from community living and practical training.
Outreach Phase:
To Make Him Known
During the outreach phase your class will break up into teams to serve God out in the world. You will have a chance to discover your abilities as you care for people and share the good news of Jesus.
