What is the prophetic? What is the role of prophecy in the Church today?

The Bible has much to say on the subject, which we are excited to unpack this week. Our heart is to train and equip you to operate in the prophetic, speaking words of encouragement, edification, and comfort (1 Cor. 14:1-3)
This short intensive combines theological teaching and training, laying the biblical foundation for discovering the reality that God does speak to each one and the different ways that He speaks. We will also address the protocols and pitfalls of prophetic ministry, and more! Ignite Week is perfect for people in the workplace, school, ministry, or at home who desire to grow in the knowledge and love of Jesus. Spend time in corporate worship and prayer, build friendships with like-minded Christians, and walk in a greater measure of the power of the Holy Spirit. We pray that you will leave desiring “earnestly to prophesy” (1 Cor. 14:39) and will impact the lives of those around you.

Encounter God

It all begins with God. Before He desires us to know our God-given authority, He desires us to live in intimate relationship with Him and know our identity (Mt. 7:21-23). We value the Presence of God above all else. In order to cultivate a stronger relationship with Him, students will spend time in the prayer room to encounter God through worship and prayer.

Hear His Voice

In the place of encountering God, we inevitably will hear His voice and His Word comes alive in us. Students will receive anointed biblical teaching on learning to Hear God’s voice for themselves. As students begin to cultivate their relationship with God and learn His voice, they will be able to better distinguish the voice of their Shepard as supposed to the enemies. Thus living the Spirit-led life you were always meant to live.

Prophecy

God’s thought for us outnumber the sands of the seashore (Ps. 139:18) and it is His delight for us to know them! Students will be immersed into hands-on practical training to further cultivate hearing His voice for themselves but also for others. As students grow in hearing God’s voice for themselves, naturally the overflow is receiving His Word for others. This is the partnership God desires to have with us for His people.
